lewis edgar(ed) bennett was the s/o creighton bennett & jaonnah kimberling bennett. he was married to nellie riffle, also buried in the kimberling cemetery. ed was born in mason co wvCharleston Daily Mail, December 5, 1959
Whitesville-Lewis Edgar Bennett, 81, of Sylvester, died yesterday at the residence of a daughter, Mrs. Edna Happney of Sylvester, after suffering a heart attack Thursday. A retired engineer, he was a master mason in O'Dell Lodge No. 115 AF&AM, of Madison. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Also surviving are another daughter, Mrs. Iva Vance of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; a son, Don, of Dunbar; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Freeman of New Holland, Ohio, and Mrs. Dessie Bost of Chillicothe, Ohio; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held tomorrow at 1pm in Wolf Valley Church in Mason County. Burial will be in Kimberling Cemetery under the direction of Armstrong Funeral Home. The body is at the funeral home.
Note: Lewis Edgar Bennett for a time operated a saw for the Morgan Lumber Company of Charleston, W.V., after which he was power house engineer for Gauley Mountain Coal Company at Jodie. He is a Baptist; a Democrat. All the children except the youngest were born in Mason County.
