Ruth A. Witten, 85, of Witten Farm, Jackson Township, Sardis, OH passed away September 7, 2011 at the Sistersville Center Nursing Home, Sistersville, WV.

She was born April 9, 1926 at the Witten Farm, Sardis, OH, she was the youngest and last surviving child of the late Fred and Maude Tuel Witten.

She was a 1944 graduate of Stover High School, New Matamoras, OH. She was a former employee of the White Rubber Co., of Ravenna, OH, Moonlight Drive-in, Sardis, OH, and the Witten Family Produce Farm.

She was a member of the Witten Chapel and the Sardis United Methodist Church, she was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Witten Conn of Witten Farm, Sardis, OH, one grandson, Jeff Conn of Georgetown, KY, one granddaughter, Jessica Conn of Blytheville, AR, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Theodore, Joe, Elmer, Ralph, Bill, and John Witten and two sisters, Margaret Hubbard and Mabel Adams.

Services will be held Saturday September 10 at 11 AM at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV with Pastor Richard Wilson and Pastor Wendy Erb officiating.

Interment will be in the Witten Cemetery.

Calling hours will be on Friday from 3 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
