John's death certificate has a written birthday of 13 Dec 1848. His son Thomas, who filled out the certificate, calculated his age as 79 yrs 7mo and 27 days, which would make his birth date 31 Dec 1848. His date of death on his certificate is 27 Jul 1928. A survey done in 2003 says his marker read as born 18 Dec 1848 died 29 Jul 1928. According to a 2008 survey his marker could not be found. I have entered the dates shown on his death certificate.
Update: I have changed his dates to match the marker photo. Apparently it was "returned" to the cemetery.
