Mrs. Sarah Juanita Coon, 62, of Carolina, Marion County, formerly of Poca, died Oct. 22, 1987, in United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, after a long illness.
She was an employee of the Marion County Board of Education. She had cooked for the students at Monongah Middle School, West Fairmont High and Glenville State College. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy, Katy.
Surviving: husband, William Robert Coon Sr.; son, William Jr. and Aurora of Culloden; daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane and George Summers of Parkersburg; brothers, Corbett Holstein of Red Star, Bud Wheeler of Meadow Bridge, James Wheeler of El Paso, Texas, Jack Wheeler of Quinwood; sisters, Mrs. Betty Buckner of Fairmont, Mrs. Janet Sheets of Farmington, N.M.; two grandchildren. William B. Summers of Parkersburg, and Michael D. Martinez of Culloden, both she loved dearly.

Mrs. Sarah Juanita Coon, - Service was 1 p.m. Saturday at Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens, Red House, with her son Pastor, William Robert Coon Jr. officiating. It was a private service with only the immediate family present. Gatens Funeral Home, Poca, was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Coon, 62, of Carolina, Marion County, formerly of Poca, died Oct. 22, 1987, in United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, after a long fight with cancer.
