Raymond V.Abbott,80,219 Cook St.,died Sunday at a hospital after a month's illness.Mr.Abbott was born Dec.11,1884 at Blue Earth,Minn.He married Mary Valerie Tracy March 3,1918 in Sioux City.He was a longtime ironworker,retiring in 1961.He was a member of St.Boniface Catholic Church and Iron workers Local 184.Survivors include the widow;three sons,Melvin of Portland,Ore.,LeRoy of Cleves,Ohio and Paul of Cedar Rapids;two daughters,Mrs.Elmer(Shirley Y.)Hoffman Jr. of Sioux City,Mrs.Ralph (Pat)Amundson of Cedar Falls;a brother Daniel Abbott of Minnesota;two sisters,Mrs.Belle Caswell of Minnesota and Mrs.Molly Kimberly of Portland,Ore.
