FULTONDALE - Ethridge Burl Cook, 80, Fultondale, died on Thursday, March 6, 2003, at the Medical Center East Hospital in Birmingham.
He was born on Sept. 7, 1922, in Marion County, the son of the late Marvin Stephen and Lomie Clifton Cook.
A resident of Fultondale for the past 12 years, he had previously been a resident of the East Lake area of Birmingham for 30 years, and he was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Center Point, AL.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 8, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home, Fultondale, Alabama. Interment was in the Olive Hill Cemetery, Beaverton, Lamar County, Alabama. Rev. Gary Timbs was the officiating minister.
Survivors include his wife: Ruby Gann Cook; one daughter, Daris Fay Cook, both of Fultondale, AL; four brothers, Cecil (Agile) Cook, J.C. (Ethel) Cook all of Adrian, MI.; John W. (Virginia) Cook of Fultondale, AL.; Leon (Leola) Cook of Foley, AL.; two sisters, Claudia Cook Rye of Hamilton, AL and Lorene Cook Carter of Statesboro, GA.; and several nieces and nephews.
