SWEN ANDERSON
Swen Anderson died at his home near Humeston on Thursday, July 25, at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 2 days.
Funeral services were held the following Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. David MacDougall, and burial was in the Humeston cemetery.
Swen Anderson was born in Sweden on September 23, 1848. He came to the United States and located in Chicago in August, 1902. The family came to Iowa in 1908 and have since lived near Humeston.
On September 27, 1891, he was married to Lena Erickson. Two sons were born to this union, Albert, who died during the world war while in service, and Sief, now at home. He also leaves one grandchild, three sisters in Sweden and one brother, Peter, of Tryon, Neb. His wife died on September 15, 1934.
Mr. Anderson had been a member of the Swedish Lutheran church for many years.
