Lee Bailey, 79, a resident of the Onapa community for many years, died at his home here Saturday after a short illness.
Funeral services were held at the Freewill Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Howard Cage officiating.
Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery under direction of the Smith Funeral Home.
Bailey, a retired carpenter was born April 12, 1886 in Hector, Ark. He had lived in McIntosh County for 33 years.
Survivors include his wife, Verna of the home a son, Lowell of Tulsa; three daughters, Mrs. Saul Striks of Newport, Ken., and Mrs. Eva Postlewait and Mrs. Leo Duer both of Tulsa; two step-daughters, Mrs. Helen Martin of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Louise Vandiver of Checotah and a brother, George of Houston, Texas.
