QUITMAN - Graveside service for retired Sgt. 1st Class (T) Alton Stroman, 84, will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Killeen City Cemetery.
Stroman died March 23, 2005, in Quitman.
He was born Jan. 10, 1921, in Windfield and lived in Copperas Cove since 1956 before moving to Quitman three years ago.
Stroman served 20 years in the U.S. Army and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal three times.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son, Dean Stroman of Yantis; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Stroman was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Stroman Feb. 6, 1999.
