DECATUR -Everett G. Rahn, 89, of Decatur died 7:25 a.m. Thursday (June 22, 1995) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Private family graveside services will be Saturday in Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Memorials: West Side Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. Rahn was born Sept. 23, 1905, in Douglas County, the son of George and Anna Block Rahn. He was retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. where he was employed as a tool and die maker. Mr. Rahn attended West Side Church of the Nazarene, was a retired member of UAW 751 and was an avid gardener. He married Ruth Rhoads on Oct 27, 1926. She preceded him in death on Oct. 13, 1988.
Surviving are his son, Everett "Gene" Rahn of Decatur; daughters, Mrs. Dean (Corrine) Burdick of Decatur; Mrs. Dean (Pat) Harrison of Decatur; Ann Kunze of Warrensburg; sister, Pauline Mayer of Sadorus; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, wife, two brothers and five sisters.
