Pauline was born Wanda Pauline McMurdy on 2/1/1932, the 4th of 6 children to Carl McMurdy and Hazel (Bristol) McMurdy. After Hazels death in 1937, Carl gave up the 3 youngest children (Wanda Pauline, Juanita, and Frankin) and she was adopted by Evelyn King Gallagher and Olive(Means) Gallagher. Of all the six siblings,the only one my mom (Juanita, also given up for adoption) remembered was Pauline. According to Paulines children and their sister Bettys children all the siblings except my mom found each other. My mother and my family and myself (Linda) did not find them till after everyone had died. But my sibs and I gained cousins and my mother, nieces and nephews some of which we have met. :) The only one we never found was Franklin and rumor has it his adoptive family changed his last name from McMurdy to ?.
