Eddie Clay Allred, 68, of 2118 Whites Memorial Road, Franklinville, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at his residence.

Funeral Services, 2 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2011, Franklinville Wesleyan Church, Franklinville.

Officiating, Rev. Wayne L. Byrd, Rev. Alvin Newcombe.

Burial, Whites Memorial Baptist Church, Franklinville with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

He was a native of Randolph County, a Vietnam veteran in the US Air Force, a member of Franklinville Wesleyan Church, President of the AFO (Allred Family Organization), retired from Black & Decker,and was currently employed with Jackson Creek Manufacturing. He was also a founder of the East Coast Allred Family Organization.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Clay and Mary Duggins Allred, and a son, Eric Todd Allred.

Survivors: wife, Carolyn Smith Allred, of the home, son, Steven Clay Allred, and wife Melissa, grandchildren, Shawn, Nathan, Lucas, and Wrenn Allred.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Hospice of Randolph County for their dedicated care, and to special friends, Warren and Connie Brown

Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur and other times at the residence.
