  BICKNELL -- Leah Maud Baker Savage, age 89, of Bicknell, died March 15, 1988, at her daughter's home in Logan, Utah.
  She was born October 25, 1898, in Thurber, Wayne County, Utah, a daughter of Benjamin J. and Samantha Mangum Baker. She married Jesse Raymond Savage December 24, 1923, in Bicknell, Utah. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 18, 1924. Mr. Savage preceded her in death October 13, 1975. She was active in all LDS church auxiliaries, serving in Sunday School as a teacher, taught in the Primary for 24 years. Served as Relief Society president in Thurber Ward. She was a member of the DUP, and a charter member of the Bicknell Literary Club.
  Survivors, daughter, Jaleen S. Taylor, Logan; sons, J. Kent Savage, St. Louis, Missouri; Shyrl B. Savage, Tucson, Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Claud Baker, Kenneth Baker, and Emma Forsyth, all Bicknell; Max Baker, Pleasant Grove; Eva Ellett, East Carbon City, Utah. Preceded in death by two daughters.
  Funeral services will be Saturday, March 19, 1 p.m., in the Bicknell LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the services. Burial, Bicknell Cemetery, under the direction of the Springer-Turner Funeral Home of Richfield.
