Pullman, Wash., Aug. 12, 1948--
Charles F. Packard, 68, died Tuesday in Poynette, Wis., while on a visit to relatives in the midwest. His body will be returned to Pullman for burial. Survivors include five children, Mrs. Orbie Mael, Ivan and Ray Packard, all of Pullman; Lyle Packard, Moscow, and Mrs. Glover Brownfield, Lewiston.

His marker states 1878 as his birth year. All documentation shows 1879 his birth year.
He was not in the June 3, 1880 census.
