OLD SOLDIER KILLED
NOROTON--David M. Avery, 71, who has been at the Soldier's Home since 1900, was killed by an express train yesterday afternoon. He belonged in New Canaan where two children lived. Avery was a veteran of Company H, 17th Connecticut Volunteers.
