He was born March 4, 1983, at Great Bend, the son of Steven Lewis and Janice Lee Jones Kraft.
He was a graduate of Fairfield High School, attended Pratt and Dodge City Community Colleges on rodeo scholarships, member of KHSRA, attended Abbyville Community Church, was a co-owner of Kraft Rodeo Company and was a welder for Ken's Welding Inc., Hutchinson. Bronc was a devoted son, brother, father and nephew, who loved and lived the rodeo life. He had a passion for working on cars bumper to bumper and was a HAND with horses and cattle.
On March 25, 2004, he married Teah Ann Muncie in Dodge City.
The highlight of his life was the birth of his son, Wyatt James Kraft on Aug. 27, 2004. Other survivors include: his parents, Steve and Janice Kraft of Abbyville; a sister, Kaci Mayree Kraft and companion Tyler Cole Meade of Cherokee, Okla.; grandmothers, Myra Kraft of Lakin and Wanda Jones of Abbyville; a great-grandmother, Lucille Kraft of North Platte, Neb.; special friend, Kailey Townsley of Moline; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bobbie Jones and Peter Kraft; and a grandmother, Marilyn Jean Kraft.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at Abbyville Rodeo Arena, with Bruce Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Abbyville Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson, with family visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Abbyville Community Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Wyatt J. Kraft Education Fund, in care of the mortuary.
