A.H "Lonny" Walker was a postal carrier after W.B. Strom became postmaster in 1897. At the time, the post office was in Lot 14 Block 3. Later, Mr. Strom moved the post office to his store on Lots 5 and 8 Block 7. By the turn of the century (1900), the post office was increased in rank from fourth-class to third-class. There were six rural routes. Lonny's route was #4.*

In addition to those listed below, Alonzo and Emma's children include: Florence A (Walker) Strandberg, Dorothy Walker and Alvin A Walker.
