The Oklahoman, June 2, 1997: Mass of Christian Burial for Alice Marie Barr, 79, of Longview TX, will be at 10 am Monday at St Mary's Catholic Church with Father Gavin Vauarek officiating. Interment will be 10 am Tuesday in Rose Hill Cemetery, OKC. Rader Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rosary was recited Sunday evening at 6 pm in Rader Funeral Chapel.
A native of Shawnee OK, she was born on May 18, 1918 and lived in Longview since 1973, moving from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was a retired secretary with Wilson and Company and a member of St Mary's Catholic Church and AARP.
Survivors include brother, John L Barr of Longview; nephew James Roger Barr of Bulverde TX. Family requests memorials to St Mary's Catholic Church in lieu of flowers.
