Utica, NY--The body of George D. Evans, who died Monday in a Presbyterian hospital in Newark, New Jersey will be brought to this city for burial, according to word received by Dr. H. H. Hope, of 1401 Oneida St, brother in law.
Mr. Evans, formerly of this city, was the husband of the late Fannie K. Shaw. After graduating from Utica Free Academy, he became associated with the First National Bank of Utica, the New York Mills Company, the General Electric Company of Harrison, New Jersey.
In addition to his brother in law, he leaves a daughter in law, Mrs. Victor S. Evans, widow of Victor S. Evans, and a grandson Victor S. Evans, Jr. of Spartanburg, S.C.
