The eldest of three sons no sisters. Private in the 27th Army Air Force Bomb Group. Arrived in the Philippines in November of 1942. He fought as infantry on Bataan and he survived the Death March only to die of beri beri in Zero Ward of Cabanutuan P.O.W. Camp. His remains were repatriated in the summer of 1949 with full military honors.
