David M. Anderson's family moved from Ohio to Iowa and then to South Central Kansas. While his family often returned to Iowa, David M. and his wife Almira "Allie" Ramey chose to stay in Greenwood County and raise their family. For most of their married life they lived in Otter Creek Twp. David served in the Union Army and was wounded during the Civil War. David and Allie, along with two of their children, Freddie Leslie and Golden Hope Sheffer are buried in Forest Cemetery.
