CHRISTY A. LEGRAND, 83, DIES; FUNERAL SUNDAY AFTERNOON
MADISON, Dec. 30---Christy A. (Doug) LeGrand, 83, died about 1:40 o'clock this morning in Woodland Hospital, where he had been a patient the past two weeks. He had been ill three weeks.
Mr. LeGrand was born Oct. 14, 1886, near Madison and had spent his entire life in the Madison vicinity. He married Miss Ada Delaney of Granville about 55 years ago. They were parents of four children. A daughter died at the age of 4.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Glenn LeGrand, Madison and Octy LeGrand, Holliday; a daughter, Mrs. J. L. Ragsdale, Mexico; and a granddaughter, Elma Lois Ragsdale, Mexico.
Mr. LeGrand was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, by the Rev. G. E. Neely, Baptist minister of Elsberry, formerly of Madison. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
The body will remain at the Thompson Funeral Home until the funeral hour.
