Oct. 19, 1918, in Petoskey, the
daughter of Charles and Ima
'(Matthews) Van Aken, died Thursday,
May 29,2003, in Lansing at
age 84. Mrs. Wilber spent all of
her life working in the dry cleaning
industry. She started working
in Petoskey, then moved to
Owosso and finished her career as
manager of Savants Dry Cleaning
in Frandor in 1983. She enjoyed
traveling to visit her family and
friends and especially enjoyed
spending time in Florida in the
winter months.
She is preceded in death by her
husband, F'rank Wilber and a son,
.James. Survivin'g are her seven
children, Clark (Grace),Ketchum,
Michael (Helen) Wilber, Dorthea '
(Leo) Peasley, Wayne (Paula)
Wilber, Ramona (Anthony) Hart,
Norma (Steven) Hyatt and Wanda
(Gordon) Merril; 21 grandchildren;
18 great-:grandchildren, two
sisters, Viola (Phil) Harris and June
Butters; four loving nieces and
nephews and her special friends,
Glenn and Danita Dickman, and
their children, Lyle and Glenna
Dickman.
Funeral services were held
Monday, June 2, at 3 p.m. at the
Palmer Bush Lansing Chapel, 520
E.Mt. Hope Ave, with pastor Bob
B~semer officiating. The family received
friends at 2 p.m. on Monday.
