Perry J. Ruhling

PERRY - Perry J. Ruhling, 67, of S. Ridge Rd., Perry Twp., life-long resident of this vicinity, died at 4 p.m. today at his home, from a heart condition he had suffered some time.

Mr. Ruhling was born May 16, 1887, in Perry. He operated grocery stores in the area in earlier years, and for several years was a salesman with Armour & Co.

He was a member of the Painesville Methodist Church, life member of the Painesville Elks and a veteran of the old Painesville Citizens Band.

A son, Raymond P. Ruhling, was a casualty of World War II.

Surviving Mr. Ruhling are his wife, the former Marie Babcock, whom he married in Painesville in 1908; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Eldridge of Perry, and three grandchildren.

Rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. A. George Whiteman, Painesville Methodist pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
