Services for Mrs. Bessie Catherine Orwan, 64, of Thompsontown R. D. 1, who died last Thursday [6 Sep 1961] in the Lewistown Hospital, were held Saturday at the funeral home in Port Royal. The Rev. Levi Hass, of the Port Royal Methodist Church, officiated. Survivors include her husband, Harry A. Orwan; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Delbuono, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Charlotte McGowan, Mrs. Bessie Bowen, and Miss Janet Orwan, all of Thompsontown; four sons, Glenn, of Philadelphia, Frank, of Thompsontown, Harvey, of Liverpool R. D. 1, and Samuel Rice of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Barkey of Port Royal, and Mrs. Olive Fritz of Millerstown, and 24 grandchildren. Burial was in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
