Mr. Edgar Flook Ahalt, 88, of 411 Larkspur Lane, Lebanon, Pa., formerly of Rockville, died Sunday, Dec. 8, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Clara Anna Thomas who died July 13, 1985.
Born Sept. 14, 1903, in Middletown, he was a son of the late Alonzo J. and Hattie Flook Ahalt.
Mr. Ahalt was a carpenter with the federal government until his retirement and then was employed as a caretaker with the National Lutheran Home, Rockville, until he retired in 1981. He was a very active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Riverdale, and was a member of Brightwell Lodge No. 43, AM&A Masons, and the Knights of Templar.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara A. Maloney of Lebanon; a son, Eugene E. Ahalt of Bowie; three grandchildren, Tami A. Windholz of Lebanon, Timothy W. Maloney of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Cathy L. Maloney of Philadelphia.
Friends may call 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. The Rev. David Eisenhuth, Mr. Ahalt's pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
