A Sixes woman, Ada Helen Capps, 86, died April 15 in Lakeport, Calif.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Port Orford Community Church, with Pastor Andy Baxter officiating. Interment following in the Port Orford Cemetery.
Born Aug. 13, 1886, in Gold Beach, Mrs. Capps was a life-time resident of Curry County. She taught school at Gold Beach, Wedderburn, Pistol River, Carpenterville and Elk River. On Sept. 21, 1914, at Denmark, Ore., she married to Raymond Capps who preceded her in death in 1958. She lived most of her married life at sixes.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Helen Fields of Lakeport, Calif., and Mrs. Ray Rundberg of Sixes; son, J. W. Capps of San Diego, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
