Paul was born in Grandview, where he married Nora E. Hingst in 1938. Surviving with his wife were son his son, Rudy R. Rexroth of Rock Island; two granddaughters; sisters, Mrs. Laura Morrow of East Moline, Miss Neva Rexroth, Mrs. Martha Garner and Mrs. Marjorie Conner of Muscatine and Mrs. Colleen Sparling of Redondo Beach, Calif.; and brothers, Harold E. of Davenport, Charles D. of Moline, John A. of Arlington, Va., and Allen L. of Silvis.

Paul was employed at International Harvester, East Moline, for 25 years, retiring as a foreman in 1968. He was a member of the Moline Consistory where he was a 32nd degree mason; he was also a member of the Izaak Walton League of Louisa County.
