Mrs Nettie C. Reneau Mingle (Frank), born 3/31/1889, passed away at Baptist Memorial hospital, Oklahoma City, 12/8/1971, at the age of 82.
Mrs Mingle, at the age of 3 years, came with her parents from Dandridge, Tenn, to the Oklahoma Strip, where they ran in the land race. She was married to Frank E. Mingle, of Manchester, OK, in 1908. She resided at Tuttle in her earlier years, being active with music in the church and gave music lessons, without charge, to many young people. Twenty years ago, she and her husband moved to Oklahoma City, where they have lived until her death.
Survivors are Frank E. Mingle, Mrs Opal Brumfield of San Diego, Mrs Anita Smith of Oklahoma City, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, Mrs Margaret Slaton of Wakita, & Mrs Jess Reneau Anthony of Kansas. Services were held Monday in the chapel of the Watts funeral home in Oklahoma City, with burial at Fairview cemetery, Tuttle.
