Mary Myrtle Beckstead Maxfield, age 95, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away May 10, 1999 in Orem, Utah.

Born February 5, 1904 in South Jordan, Utah, daughter of Samuel Henry and Mary Ann Howard Beckstead. Married Benjamin Willard Maxfield July 17, 1923 in Farmington, Utah; later solemnized in Salt Lake Temple; he preceded her in death. Married Rulon Nichols in July 9, 1942; he preceded her in death. She enjoyed traveling, being with her family and her many friends. Member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Active member of the LDS Church.

Survived by sons, Lewis B. Maxfield, West Jordan; Blaine (Toni) Nichols, Vernon, Vermont; daughters, Joyce (Don) Hill, West Valley City; Mary Ann (Leon) Orme, Orem; Reva (Spencer) Ames, Magna; daughter-in-law, Darlene Maxfield, Taylorsville; 24 grandchildren; 99 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren. Also preceded in death by son, Norman B. Maxfield; granddaughter, Terri Ann Orme; great-granddaughter, Emilee Brooke Orme.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15, 1999, 12 noon at the West Jordan 6th Ward, 7570 S. 2700 West where friends may call Saturday, 10-11:45 a.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery. Under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
