Melva Margaret Bilbo Morgan (August 14, 1920 - May 17, 2014), age 93, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 17, surrounded by members of her family. Visitation will take place from 6-8 pm. on Friday, May 23, at Memory Chapel, with services at West Laurel Church of God on Saturday, May 24, 2014 with a brief visitation at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m.
She was a lifelong member of West Laurel Church of God, a graduate of Pearl River Junior College, and co-owner with her husband of Hezekiah Salvage Company in Laurel, MS.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, John Hezzie Morgan, her parents, Cyrus and Ida Bilbo of Poplarville, MS, her brothers Cecil and Neville (Cotton) Bilbo, and sister, Grace Baughman of Poplarville, MS.
The family would like to sincerely thank their Mother/Grandmother's caretaker, Mrs. Darlene Hicks of Laurel, MS, for her care and devotion to their Mother/Grandmother over the last two years.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Morgan, Terry Morgan, Phil Landreth, David Boss, Patrick Burkle, James Bell, Brandon Richardson and Will Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph Morgan, Benjamin Morgan and Adam Landreth.
