Mrs. Eleanor R. McHamilton, daughter of pioneers of Utah, passed away yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernestine Lagomarsino, 1276 University Avenue, following a illness of several months. She was 83 years of age.
Mrs. McHamilton was born at Fort Herriman, Utah, her father, the late Robert Petty being the founder of the Fort. Much of her life was spent in Utah. She had lived in Berkeley for the last three years and, for several years before coming here, her home was in Oakland.
Mrs. McHamilton is survived by four daughters. They are: Mrs. Mayna Buchley [sic] of Monterey Park, Mrs. Adelia Seely and Mrs. Ernestine Lagomarsino of Berkeley, and Mrs. Dorleski Farrar of the Dalles, Ore. She also leaves two brothers, Edmund C. Grant and James E. Taylor of Utah.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Little Chapel of the Flowers, Adeline Street at Ashby Station. Rev. Alma Erickson of the Latter Day Saints Church will conduct the services.
