Funeral for Lois M. Wood of Lafayette will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville, with Pastor Jim Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park, Eugene.
Mrs. Wood died Feb. 6, 2004, in Providence St. Vincent Hospital, Portland. She was 81.
She was born Aug. 13, 1922, in Lincoln, Neb., daughter of Lester R. and Luella A. Wilson Shelley. She was raised and educated in Lincoln. In 1947, she moved to Eugene and while living there worked for Koke Printing as a bookbinder for 25 years.
In 1975, she moved to Lexington, then in 1980 to Lafayette, where she had lived since.
She and Donald Wood married April 16, 1975, in Las Vegas. Mrs. Wood was a member of the Old Time Fiddlers, and she loved to sew, knit and garden. Her family said she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of Lafayette; two daughters, Sharon Drew of Sherwood and Linda Herzog of Henderson, Nev.; a stepdaughter, Amy F. Woodward of Oregon City; four stepsons, Gary Wood of Anderson Island, Wash., Dean S. Wood of Vancouver, Wash., Bradley S. Wood of Tonasket, Wash., and David g. Wood of Clarkston, Wash.; a sister, Lorrine Wright of Lincoln, Neb.; 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
