Mr J J Ransom died in Rochelle last Saturday night after a long illness with heart trouble, and was buried in the Ashley grave yard her Sunday.
Mr Ransom had been convict warden in this county a number of years and had been living in the country near town until he got sick and moved to town the first of the year.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptish Church. He leaves a wife and six children to mourn his death. the funeral was conducted by Rev J T Evers at the grave in the presence of a large congregation. Rochelle New Era
