Leon " Bud" Green

HAGERSTOWN - Leon " Bud" Green died Thursday evening at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond after a brief illness.

He was a native of Lynn and had resided in Hagerstown 26 years. He was a tool grinder at Chevrolet Motor Division in Muncie. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Hagerstown Church of Christ, the Hagerstown Lodge 49 Free and Accepted Masons, the Indianapolis Valley at Scotish Rite, a past patron of Hagerstown Chapter 196 Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the William O. Frazier Post 333 of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife Ruby, one daughter, Pamela Shortridge of New Castle, one son David Kutter of Naperville, Illinois; his mother, Laura Green of Lynn; four grandchildren; one sister, Eileen McClellan of Pendelton; nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Leon "Bud" Green will be at 1:30 pm Sunday at the Cuberson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald R. Scott officiating. A graveside service will be conducted by the Masonic Lodge in West Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Saturday at the funeral home where the Order of Eastern Star will have a service at 5:30 pm.
