George Minter, 83, died Aug. 27, 2011, at his home. He was born in Stephenville, TX and lived in Stuart since 2004, coming from Potomac, MD.
Before retirement, he was a comptroller for the Navy.
He was an accomplished musician and performed at many local venues and was an original member of the 1:00 Lab Band of University of North Texas in Denton, TX, and the 4th Army Band.
