Alpidio De La O Acosta, 79, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011. Prayer service is at 7 p.m. today at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Service is at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marathon with burial in Marathon Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Anita R. Acosta of Marathon; son Roy Acosta of Midland; daughters Cruz Rodriguez of Del Rio and Esther Chavez and Lora Olivas, both of Fort Stockton; brothers Cecelio Acosta of Marathon and Pancho Acosta of Odessa; and sisters Dominga Galindo of Fort Stockton, Valentina Galindo and Rufina Bernal, both of Odessa, and Gregoria Acosta of Midland.
