Betty "Joyce" Bailey Burt, 86, of Ririe, passed away April 3, 2012, at her home.
She was born December 31, 1925, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Earl Fredrick Bailey and Alice Ann Seedall Bailey. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Ucon High School.
On June 9, 1944, she married Walter Curtis Burt, Jr. in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2004. Joyce was a devoted mother and homemaker and also worked as a City Clerk in Ririe. She volunteered her time as an election worker at the polls and was active with the Jefferson County Fair.
Joyce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening; being outside; and loved animals, especially dogs and her three cats.

Private family services will be held under the direction of Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls.
