Mrs Martha Elizabeth Barker, 71, of 417 S Lee, died about noon Sunday at a convolescent hospital in Oklahoma City. Services are pending at Garrison Funeral Home. Born Jan 23, 1880 in Gainesville TX, Mrs Barker moved to Greer County in 1906. Her husband, William C Barker, was a farmer and stockman near Reed until his retirement in 1920 when the couple moved to Oklahoma. He died in 1950. She was a member of the auxiliary of Woodmen of the Wood Lodge. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Harry Tinkham, 1800 SW 15; and Mrs Ada Bleich, Silverton, Colorado; a son, Charles Barker, of Reed; a sister, living in CA; and a brother, Joe Nix; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
