OBIT, Dec 4, 1962: Lawrence Wickham, 34, died suddenly at the Veteran's hospital in Iowa City Saturday, Nov. 17, at 8:15 a.m. He had been confined there since Thursday, Nov. 15. Funeral services were held at the Federated church in Waucoma on Wednesday, Nov. 21, with Rev. Charles Hehaffey officiating. Burial was in the Hawkeye cemetery in charge of the Waucoma American Legion members.

Lawrence William Wickham, son of Almon and Cora Arnold Wickham, was born in Auburn Twp., Fayette Co., IA, Jan. 4, 1931. He attended the Hawkeye Public school. On April 15, 1949 he was married to Edna Blue of Fayette and they lived their entire married lives in the Hawkeye and Waucoma vicinity and the past year have lived in Waucoma where he was employed as mechanic at the Smith Garage.

He served in the U. S. Army from April 9, 1952, until 1955 of which 14 months he served in Korea.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, 9, and one son, 7, four sisters: Marjorie, Mrs. Burt Downs, Hawkeye; Lucille, Mrs. Gilbert Welsh, Wadena; Hazel, Mrs. Bernard Hammond, Strawberry Point; Grace, Mrs. Lyle Pierce, Ontario, CA; one half brother, Gilbert McElree, West Union.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Larry (remainder of article is missing)
