BERKSHIRE ? Lila J. Gendron, age 91, passed away Wednesday evening, Oct. 19, 2005, at Our Lady of the Meadows in Richford where Lila made her home for the last few months.
She was born Dec. 23, 1913, in Berkshire, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lulah May (Combs) Lagro
She was a resident of Richford most of her life and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and lived her life for her family. Her hobbies were knitting, gardening and baking.
She is survived by three daughters: Estelle Girard and her husband, Camille of Richford, Jean White and her husband, Sam of Grand Isle, and Sally Pelkey and her husband, Phil of Berkshire; three sons: Leon Gendron and his wife, Kathy of Berkshire, Roger Gendron of Richford, James Gendron and his wife, Tammy of Richford; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sylvia Lagro of Richford. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Patrick; two sons, Samuel and Larry Gendron; one daughter, Margaret Gendron; and two brothers, Lawrence and Graydon Lagro.
In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and funeral services will be held Monday morning, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford with Rev. Frank Eksterowicz celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
