LOTTIE M. ARNOLD
Funeral services will be hold today at 4 p.m. at the Connolly and Taylor Chapel for Mrs. Lottie M. Arnold who died Wednesday night at the Alhambra Convalescent Hospital following a recent illness. Mrs. Arnold, 91, was a native of Texas and a resident of Martinez for the past 52 years. Mrs Arnold was the wife of Gaines L. Coates, M.D. who died in 1937. He practiced medicine in the Pittsburg area for many years. She later married Irving Arnold who was manager of the State Theater for many years. Mr. Arnold died in 1955.
Mrs. Arnold is survived by her son, Gaines L.Coates, M.D. of Martinez and a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Owens of San Francisco. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Spurgeon of Sonora.
