Mrs. Sarah Spohn died of a complication of heart disease and dropsy at her residence 115 South Sixth Street at 4:30 pm Monday. Deceased was the widow of Daniel Spohn, a well-known carpenter and builder of this city who died in 1875. She was a daughter of Jacob and Hannah Reiff; was born in Montgomery County near Trappe, November 15, 1822 and came to this city when young. Deceased leaves eight children: Mrs. Annie Spohn, Mrs. A.N. Kissinger, Wellington J. Spohn, and Mrs. Henry A. Hunsberger, of this city; Mrs. Emma R. Moore, Millbach, Lebanon Co.; Mrs. Henry C. Jones, Phila.; Charles D. Spohn, Phila.; Mrs. Wallace Wise, San Francisco; and two sisters: Mrs. Aaron Richards, Norristown, and Mrs. Rachel Fichthorn, this city.
