Lucy Mae Ellington Shephard was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was born to the parentage of Mrs. Lillie Mae Johnson and the Late Luke Millions (buried at County Line Primitive Baptist Church Milledgeville, GA Jan. 1976). Her formative years were spent in Baldwin County attending public schools. At an early age, she confessed to Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Rock Mill Baptist Church.
She moved to Atlanta GA early in her adult life, where she was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Harold Ellington Sr. and raised 5 children. Mae was a loving, dedicated and strong mother, grandmother, daughter and friend.
On October 9, 2001 she was diagnosed with cancer for the 3rd time.
She was preceeded in death by her grandmother Sarah Dinah Densley (buried at Rock Mill Baptist Jan.1992, brother Willie James Millions (buried at Rock Mill Baptist Church Dec.1996), sister Linda Millions and devoted Aunt Ella Mae Thurman.
