Miss Tressie N. Bryant
Miss Tressie N. Bryant, 95 , of Boone Ford road Calhoun , died Saturday , September 12th, 1992 in the Cherokee Nursing Home ,following an extended illness.
She was born in Gordon County on Aug. 23rd, 1897, daughter of the late James V. and Alice Curtis Bryant, and had spent her entire life here.She was a retired textile worker and a member of the Blackwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three sisters , Mrs. Mamie Beason ,Mrs.Rilla Ellis, Mrs. Beulah Hughey , and by three brothers Cosmer, Harley, and Ezra Bryant.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Vernie Hobgood of Calhoun and Mrs. Alleen Harmon of Albany; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was Sunday , Sept. 13th at 2pm , from the Combs Chapel of Clifford Free Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clay Stephens officiating. Interment was at Blackwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Max Baker, Max Hobgood ,Bobby Bryant , Glen Bryant , Guy Beason and William Beason. Clifford Free Funeral Home of Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
