Mr. Hargrove was born July 19, 1930 in Thalia Texas to E.C. and Frona Hargrove. At the age of 16 he began his military career that would lead him through out the world until his retirement in 1966 at Vandenberg Air Force Base California.
Mr. Hargrove met and married the love of his life on August 2, 1952, at Carswell Air Force Base in Ft Worth Texas.
After his retirement in 1966 they moved to Wichita Falls where he continued his military career in civil service. After 21 additional years in civil service they celebrated his second retirement and allowed them to follow their dream of raising cattle after forming A & B Cattle Company Inc.
His father, mother and 3 brothers and 8 sisters preceded Mr. Hargrove in death.
Mr. Hargrove is survived by his wife Betty Morgan Hargrove of Wichita Falls, 2 sons Alvis and wife Karen of Martinsburg West Virginia, Jim and wife Teresa Hargrove of Round Rock Tx, and 1 daughter Marsha and husband Garon Jetton. Nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren,Honorary family member in attendance will be Jim and Rosemary Brown of Gordo Alabama.
Visitation will be at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home 1917 Archer City Hwy Wichita Falls Tx. And is scheduled for Friday September 2nd at 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Services will be Saturday September 3rd at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home and will be followed by a graveside service with full military honors, presented by the Sheppard Air Force Honor Guard.
The family request that memorials go to The Hospice of Wichita Falls Texas or Edgemere Church of Christ.
