WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Floyd Stanley Bohrer Sr., 83, of Fairview Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Born Nov. 24, 1919, in Big Pool, he was the son of the late Elmer Lee and Mamie G. Hart Bohrer. He retired from Fairchild Industries in Hagerstown. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Buck Valley Christian Church in Buck Valley, Pa. He was a member of Webster B. Harrison Post 26 American Legion of Hancock; McConnellsburg VFW of McConnellsburg, Pa.; Order of the Eastern Star of Berkeley Springs; James W. Bowers Lodge AF & AM of Hancock; and Jaffa Shrine of Altoona, Pa., among other organizations. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen G. Stahle Bohrer; two daughters, Joann Hixon of Pittstown, N.J. and Dayna Lininger of Warfordsburg, Pa.; one son, Floyd S. Bohrer Jr. of Warfordsburg; one sister, Fay McCusker of Hagerstown; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee H. Bohrer and Mervin Bohrer. A service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Buck Valley Christian Church in Warfordsburg. The Revs. Frank Teeter and Clint Bahrenburg will officiate. Burial, with military services, will be in Buck Valley Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home in Hancock; and Friday at 10 a.m. at the church. The funeral home will open Thursday at 9 a.m. There will be a service Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home by the Order of the Eastern Star, followed by a Masonic Service.
