WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Helen Geraldine "Skip" Bohrer, 81, of Fairview Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Born Jan. 31, 1923, in Amaranth, Pa., she was the daughter of the late J. Burhman and Pearle Fisher Stahle. Her husband of 60 years, Floyd S. Bohrer Sr., died Oct. 21, 2003. She was a 1941 graduate of Warfordsburg High School. She had been employed with Fairchild Industries in Hagerstown. She was a member of Buck Valley Christian Church in Warfordsburg. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star 77 of Berkeley Springs. She is survived by two daughters, Joann Hixon of Pittstown, N.J., and Dayna Lininger of Warfordsburg; one son, Floyd S. Bohrer Jr. of Warfordsburg; one sister, Louise Stotler of Berkeley Springs; one brother, Homer Stahle of Warfordsburg; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Hope Vanko; four infant brothers; and one great-great-grandson. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Buck Valley Christian Church, Warfordsburg. The Rev. Walter L. Hoard will officiate. Burial will be in Buck Valley Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends today and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, where the Order of the Eastern Star will hold a service Sunday at 7 p.m. Friends also will be received Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. At the family's request, memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses to Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock, MD 21750-0368.
