Della May Hull Rawson, 98, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 quietly and peacefully at home with her family at her side.

She was born November 3, 1912 to Robert and Elizabeth Rigby Hull. She was the 7th of twelve children. She lived her entire life in Hooper. She graduated from Weber High School in 1930. She also attended Weber State Jr. College. On January 12, 1932, Della married Frank Virgil Rawson. Their vows were later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with two children; Belva June and Roger Frank.

She worked along side her husband for 60 years on the family farm. They went into the dairy business and gave up the row crops.

Della worked for 27 years at Hooper Elementary as Lunch Unit Manager and a Teacher's Aide. She was the President of the Hooper Jr. Women's Club and President of the Hooper Ladies Farm Bureau.

She faithfully served in many church Ward and Stake positions, including eight years as President of the Mutual, 25 continuous years as a Sunday school teacher and various other callings in between. She was very supportive in helping her husband, Frank, as he served as Bishop.

Della was very involved and supportive of her immediate and extended family. She worked side by side in the fields, in the barn and at home with them. She loved people and being of service. She loved to work hard, cook, play games, and work in the yard, quilt and crochet. After she turned 90 she crocheted over 45 afghans.

Della is survived by her daughter, Belva (Richard) Moyle, a daughter in-law, Sheryl Rawson, eight grandchildren; Wayne (Cheryl) Moyle, RaDene (Harlan) Hatfield, Tana (Gary) Gooch, Kamie (Garff) Hubbard, LaDawn (Darryl) Sheets, Nancy (Travis) Hall, David (Amy) Rawson, Rochelle Martin; 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters, one sister-in-law, Aline Hull, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank, her son, Roger, her twin brother, Delbert and ten other siblings.

The family would like to thank: Alpine Hospice for their care at the end of Della's journey! Also, her caregivers, Krystal, Tammy and Miller Atagi. Many thanks to Dr. Gary Christensen for his dedicated services and her friends at Winegars.
