BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Henry Cyrus "Buck" Beeler Jr., 67, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at his home.

Born Jan. 10, 1933, in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Henry Cyrus Beeler Sr. and Edith Viola Pritchard Beeler.

He attended Mount Garfield School and Berkeley Springs High School.

He retired in 1992, after 39 years as a plumber with Dawson's Home Center in Berkeley Springs.

He served in Germany with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy Jean Householder Beeler; a daughter, Debbie Smith of Berkeley Springs; a sister, Eleanor Lea Batt of Berkeley Springs; a brother, James E. Beeler of Hancock; two granddaughters; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, Route 522 South in Berkeley Springs. Pastor Michael W. Bennett will officiate. Burial with military honors by Tri-State Honor Guard will be in Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St. in Berkeley Springs; and Friday at 10 a.m. at the church. The funeral home will open Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
